Probably been said before on here but  i think its time this lot were looked at.Now ime not a Bristol City admirer but again the fans have been shit on,a certain amount sold by the club and the rest handed over to Ticketmaster for them to sell online. The playoff final is there biggest match ever probably.Lots of fans wont have access to a computer or credit card so wont have a chance of getting a ticket v Hull City. Why are these tickets handed over to agencies who make big bucks its not fair and the clubs who do it are not giving a dam about the fans as usuall.

Fair enough Manc....but just to point out not everyone has debit cards, and if they do why should they pay extra for a ticket, sell them ALL at the club on a first come first served basis after season ticket holders have had there allocation.

Do the clubs have to buy the tickets from the FL, or are they just given to them?

From what I've read, City don't have the facilities to sell 40,000 tickets in such a short space of time. Hence it going to Ticketmaster. Other clubs who have the infrastructure for such events like Leeds have sold them themselves

Hull sold them themselves. Heard one guy on the radio say that his mate started queuing at 6am, and still hadn't been served by 3pm!

Can you imagine our box office trying to sell 23,000 tickets in a day?

Also heard City fans had to phone Ticketmaster for tickets at first, then the remaining tickets went on the website yesterday. I wonder if that meant they had some kind of priority system in place that meant the real fans got the opportunity to buy first?

From talking to shitty fans at work, season ticket holders were able to get 2 tickets per season ticket first, then people with stubs from recent games including play offs got the chance - then they went on general sale.

Sounds fair enough. Ticketmaster have inflated unjustified fees but I'd rather pay a 5 than spend all day queing.

Hopefully there will be 36K Bristolians crying come 5pm Saturday, but I am bit worried they may not screw this up Sad

They don't need to sell them in a day, they've got a week.

I remember when we did sell 30,000 tickets through the club ticket office: season ticket holders one day, four vouchers the next, then three, then two etc. I travelled down from London on the appropriate day and strolled up to the ticket window with barely a queue.

What with them only having about the 10th best attendances in the division (despite being at or near the top for its entirety) they're probably worried they won't be able to shift the tickets if people have to do more than click a mouse to get them :-)

It's what the Hull fan claimed they'd sold in a day. Have to say i was sceptical.

From speaking to a slavetrader at work, the concern is not so much that the tickets went on sale via TicketMaster but that they sold out within 20 minutes and that there is therefore a suspicion that a lot have ended up in the hands of touts rather than genuine fans. How true that is, I don't know but it's a different angle.

I thought that the Ticketmaster ones were only available to ST holders, with a limit of 2 per ST. Unless somebody found a way around the system?
