anyone doing Highworth/Shrivenham? I might be up for a pub crawl to do them Beers

Not that I know of. Ok, so tell you what how's about if people do fancy doing this, drop me an email at pauld@[removethisbitbeforesending]truststfc.co.uk saying which area you're in, which/how many pubs you reckon you can do and roughly when you'd be planning on doing it. That way if there's several people in the same area we can avoid overlap/put you in touch with each other etc

EDIT: make sure you remove the [removethisbitbeforesending] bit from the email address before emailing - just occurred to me I'm going to get spammed to hell by bots if I put the bare naked email on a forum. Sigh.

I think those of us who turned out last night deserve something Paul, like a club t-shirt for instance Wink

Especially as we were 'staff' for the night.

Even though were met plenty of plastics last night, we did come across a Halifax fan, who currently might not have a club...

As someone who couldn't make it last night my congats to those who did.
From what is being said there is still a lot of people not aware of how reasonable the prices are now.

Meh. T-shirt, Shmee-Shirt. At the very least you deserve your own youth team player to act as your personal boot boy for a week. I'll chase them on it.

I haven't got any boots though  Sad I do have a pair of thigh high pvc ones  Wink

Went well I think. Thanks to those who did show - we had two teams of three doing town centre (one lot downtown, one lot Old Town) plus Spencer's "Operation Windmill Outreach", a couple of guys doing pubs in Bradford on Avon (dropped some leaflets off there on Tuesday), plus three from the SC doing pubs in West Oxon. Not heard from the out of town guys, but for the two teams doing town centre, we covered about 25 pubs which is pretty good going in one evening.

I think most of us got a more positive response than we expected. Very little hassle/negative response although what there was was more from people who identified themselves as being "native Swindonians" ie didn't really get a lot of "sod off I support a plastic Prem side" which we kind of expected. Quite a few people seemed genuinely surprised/interested at the prices, especially with the kids 3 quid a game - got a fair amount of interest along the lines of "Mum/Dad + kid".

All in all, well worth doing - we got a load of leaflets out and talked to a load of people who weren't aware of the ST prices, who were at least polite enough to feign interest  Cheesy

Big thanks to Alan J, larwood, Lady (plus mate) and Spencer for turning out. And to Chris and Adam from the club for pitching in as well. Still disappointed at the lack of cabbage gun in the van, mind.

Great job Paul and the rest of the guys, I am just glad I didn't get caught being a plastic in the Lava Lounge  Oops

I'm sure the youth teamers would love them.

Fair play to anyone who helped out yesterday.

I'd forgotten about that. Apart from that, funniest bits were Lady and her mate running off to try and make the "Target 6k" TShirts "more feminine" and the City supporter (in shirt) we saw crossing the CG when we were heading off to the pubs by the station - drew up next to her, wound down window, gave her a leaflet - "Here you are, try watching some proper football". Her face was a picture.
