Holmes would be a good signing, he would provide excellent competition for Mcnamee, the 2 of them battling it out for the left wing slot would be good, we need 2 players for every position and who's to say that if Holmes signed and played better than Mcnamee pre-season he wouldn't start the season with Mcnamee having to fight to get the shirt.
I'm sure Holmes would not be on high wages either though as I suspect he is looking for a club where he can try and establish himself somewhere where he has a chance of fighting for a 1st team spot
How about moving Mcnamee to a free role behind the strikers with a licence to roam ?

Nice idea as always but am I the only one who thinks a league 1 club's never going to have that in a million years? If we had a squad of 22 genuine first team regulars we'd win the league by January, it just ain't going to happen. |
