Releasd on a free by Derby. Derby County boss Paul Jewell has released four players as he starts to prepare for life in the Championship. Lee Holmes, the youngest-ever player to appear for the Rams, Marc Edworthy, Michael Johnson and Ben Hinchcliffe have all been told their Pride Park days are numbered
Holmes, now 21, made his debut for the club aged 15 years and 268 days when he came on as a substitute in the Boxing Day clash against Grimsby Town in 2002.
He went on to play 52 first-team games for the club as well as being loaned out to Swindon Town, Bradford City and Walsall.
Former Norwich City full-back Edworthy moved to Derby three years ago. The 35-year-old made 80 starts during his time with the club and another four appearances as a substitute.
Johnson has already agreed a permanent deal with Notts County after making 150 appearances for the Rams and enjoying a loan spell at Meadow Lane in the campaign just ended.
Young goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe failed to make a first-team appearance for the club. http://www.football.co.uk/derby_county/jewell_starts_rams_clearout_264732.shtmlShame he doesn't play out on the right.

Mixu has kicked out exTown loanee Noubissie today as well. Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has revealed that Frenchman Patrick Noubissie has been released from his contract at Easter Road.
The 24-year-old midfielder has left the Hibees despite having a year left on his contract, after failing to impress Paatelainen.
The former Swindon Town player, who can also operate in the centre or right hand side of defence, joined Hibs in summer on a free transfer, then was immediately sent out on loan to first division side Livingston to gain some much needed match fitness.
However, his time at Almondvale was hampered by injury that restricted him to just eight games in a Livi shirt before he came back to Hibs in November.
When Noubissie came back to Easter Road he only managed four appearances before John Collins resigned as manager.
When current Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen arrived, Noubissie was sent straight out on loan to another first division club, Dundee, he made eight appearances in a Dark Blue shirt.
Unfortunately for the player he has been told he has no future in Edinburgh and has left the club. He becomes yet another player to be released by Mixu as he looks at his summer re-building program.
Mickael Antoine-Curier, Keegan Ayre and Dermot McCaffrey have all been released in the last couple of weeks and with more expected.
Mixu said:
"It's not a case of me being ruthless, it's pointless to keep so many players knowing that some of them might be fifth in the queue and would never play.
"I want a tighter squad but hopefully a bit more quality. Having so many players isn't good, a tighter squad means everyone knows exactly what is happening."

Lee Holmes is awesome. Don't know if he's ever played on the right but it might be worth a try? If it failed he'd be an awesome backup for the manatee

He won't want to be back up so there's no way he'd join us.

If there is a chance to sign him do it!
I mean no harm in trying one of him or McNamee on the right.
Also, good back up to McNamee?!.....I'm not sure, wouldnt it be the other way around?

He's being released because he's not deemed good enough for the Championship.
We need players in other positions beofre another left winger (we could always use pauld)

Well, that would solve the McNamee is double marked problem
"Two defenders? Not a problem, we've got two left wingers. Mark this!"
