One of those players that you hate on the opposing team but would have loved him in your own.

i like steve claridge. some of his views are slightly dodgy,  bt you can't fault his enthusiasm. and unlike a lot of pundits he actually knows a fair bit about the lower leagues too.

Was it King who tried to bring the old sod in and he turned us down?

Good player though and not a bad pundit in the making although he's more your Soccer Saturday chimp on Sky Sports than prime time.

So he undertook a couple of cars, at high speed, and he doesn't think that should be called "dangerous" driving?

I also like the fact he doesn't admit it was raining at the time, like some sort of weather martyr.

GUILTY!! (as per updated story from beeb states).

You're like the Ronnie O'Sulivan of puns. Even when there isn't a natural angle you still force it with a bit of spin.

Break it up Nev, you'll be wanting to pot his brown next!!  Or at the very least you'll be wanting a foul stroke!

I started off thinking the same, but when you listen carefully Claridge is mostly a bullshitter.....its always amusing listening to the Friday preview show on 5Live , where Claridge gets routinely humiliated by Gabriele Marcotti, but doesn't quite realise it and just digs himself in deeper.

i'd say its marcotti who gets humiliated, as claridge usually tears his ridiculous points to shreds.
