would be very very surprised if kyel reid was one of the triallists. He's decent in League 1 BUT this could be an example of the 'Di Canio factor' at work (find out more by watching 'Di Canio extra factor' with Holly Willoughby on ITV 2 later)

Was at West Ham so maybe it isn't so unlikely.

BBC Radio Swindon has said the foreign striker on trial is Mehdi Kerrouche.

Mehdi Kerrouche (born October 11, 1985 in Douai, France) is an Algerian footballer. As of August 2010, he plays as a striker for Al-Oruba in the UAE Second Division

UAE second division? He might have some adapting to do, and perhaps improving too. Plus, playing there rather than in France hints that money might be more of an issue for him than quality of football.

He might be great though. Honest.

Seems to have a good strike rate, but had moved around quite a bit and not sure at level:

Quote
2006–2007 AC Cambrai 18 (9)
2007-2007 KSK Ronse 23 (11)
2007–2008 USM Alger ? (?)
2008–2009 GFCO Ajaccio 24 (13)
2009–2010 Naval 14 (5)
2010- Al-Oruba

- Naval were in Portuguese top div.
- Ajaccio are Corsican.
- USM Alger are one of the biggest teams in Algeria
- K.S.K. Ronse are Belgian and are curently 2nd division (not sure which league they where when he was there)
- AC Cambrai seem to be a non-league French club (playing in the Division d'Honneur Nord Pas de Calais).

Not a bad scoring record at all, 50 goals in 97 games aint a bad ratio.

Otanswell is right. I mean apart from civilisation, what have foreigners ever done for this country. Get them out and replace them with good English players. Fucking winners the lot of them.  Cheesy

As long as they all roll their sleeves up and give 100% for the Town I couldn't care less if they were born in PMH or in Afgahanistan.

Look where our former England Under 21 star David Prutton got us last year

I don't give a shit where these players come from as long as they play well and give all they have got  for Swindon Town FC, I will support them no matter which country they have arrived from.
