Well, now you know. yeah with no resale value whatsoever and at 37 years old is on his last legs, i'd reather hold out for someone younger looking to develop than a player just making sure he's still getting paid
He'd be alright for a year or two, if he scores goals then it doesn't really matter about age. |

I don't blame people who are panicking we are publicly missing out on strikers at the moment and as we know the closer the season is the harder and more expensive it is to get one in.
Seems a trend on here at the moment that as soon as someone has a opinion that is slightly negative then they are shouted down.
I know it's a forum blah blah but it's getting pretty predictable at the moment what every thread is going to end up like.

I pointed out how I predicted the Birchall signing would fall through, not exactly 'getting up on the wrong side of bed' is it? I admit I'm pessimistic, but grumpy I am not.
Oh and that's 'Retep' not 'Reptep'.
Parkin09, Rovers have made some pretty decent signings, Scott McGleish as one example, a proven goal scorer at this level.
In fairness it didn't fall through, it hasn't gone beyond talks, right? How can we compete with geography and the fact that Birchall wanted to go to Gillingham (probably) all along? |
