Grr. I have put off work this afternoon to find out that Timlin is staying.

I am glad Timlin is staying but was hoping for a bit more from PDC really.

Although pointless, we would have only moaned if we had heard nothing from him or about whats happening.

He seems to be on repeat... "passion, commitment, blah blah blah, discipline, team ethic, blah blah blah"

Seeing as he wasn't busy signing paperwork and presenting scarves to new signings, why was he so late?

3.48pm Sounds good for fans wanting Jonathan Douglas to stay. Di Canio brands him a 'very important player.'

“If he has his head right we will have a very important player and a leader in the dressing room,” he says.

But Town boss says he will not give anyone a guaranteed starting spot in his team.

3.49pm: Di Canio reveals he has watched a dozen games from last season, and he got more and more appalled. He says they were playing 'without any anger, without any passion.'

3.51pm “A lot of time players need a leader who can guide them, who can choose the right moment, who can treat them as men.

“We think footballers are only boys with bad habits, but they are men. Sometimes when they go the wrong way the manager needs to be strong to put them in the right way.

“If they don't have discipline, that comes from the manager.”

have you all missed the bit about Douglas staying?

"Positive noises about Douglas staying. Di Canio calls him an 'important player' in the squad."

That's no different from what Wray said. Its not yet signed, sealed and delivered.
