In other bemusing transfer news, Tottenham have made a bid for none other than Phil Neville.

They bid £1-1.5M for him.

Surprised he looks like outlasting his brother. Gary looked past it when he has played for Man U this year.

Isn't he a year or two younger though?

I think Phil Neville is harshly treated. Post-Manchester United, he's played far better than people predicted.

So he is. Well that explains it then.

Craig Reid of Newport County that a few people have mention has signed for Stevenage. Charlie Griffin going the other way, in old boy news as well.

In DW's bit on Benyon for the official site, he says he'd like to get two or three more in?

Loans.  We had to get a perm deal sorted for a decent striker for the long term, but loans will still be more than useful in bringing in extra players to challenge in areas we are lacking in competition I would imagine - another striker, a right winger wouldn't go a miss.
