Only Captain Picard can do that Smiley

I completely misread that and thought the captaincy had been given to Vince

Ah, if Picard is involved, we can just beam Benyon up rather than leave him to drive up the M5 and along the M4.

Here's a novel suggestion. Turn off the radio and read a book instead, preferably one with a happy ending.

Not a bad idea, I'm reading the Charlie Brooker book at the moment which is always amusing.

That said, we all revel in a bit of doom deep down, don't we!

2029: Blackburn have confirmed the signing of Argentinian midfielder Mauro Formica on a deal until the summer of 2014.

There is a gag here somewhere.....

Can you imagine if Danny Ward did come back? The pressure on him would be immense. His ability and value to our team seems to have tripled with every passing week since his departure - he left here a good Div1 player, but we'll be expecting him to come back as fucking Maradona.

People will be up in arms when he doesnt score 8 times on his first appearance, doesnt find a cure for cancer in his first week and doesnt find poor Madeline McCann by the end of April.

Poor bastard.

I worry about this. I also worry about Benyon. If he came they'd be quite a bit of pressure on him. At least if we have another player as well, they can shoulder it together.

I'm with Spencer on the Ward thing. I'd love him to come back, but the fact he's bezzie mates with the turncoat makes me think there's no major reason for him to come here.

Let's just hope he isn't getting a lift off Christian Roberts.... Cheesy

Im amazed anyone who watched Danny Ward last season wouldnt have absolute faith in his ability. The biggest problem might be defenders kicking the shit out of him rather than any pressure. He wouldnt feel that. But unfortunately he's not comming.

I do worry about the pressure on Benyon if he comes. And thats why really we needed 2 strikers today.
