Good work SY....But for Benji we'd have lost 7-0 at Forest rather than 7-.
It would be a bit of a surprise if we actually signed someone, other than on loan, and given there's not a deadline for that, I'd have thought we'd wait for the dust to settle.
Indeed. Apparently players signed on loan during the transfer window (i.e. not an emergency loan) are not able to be recalled by their parent club - can anyone confirm that?

I thought after the window shuts, we weren't able to sign anyone on a permanent transfer, or a loan until the loan window opens again in a few weeks??

if signed in the window the loan can be a counted as a long term loan 5-9 months when signed outside window loan can be no longer than 3 months but having a clause saying they can be recalled will be part of the contract and cam be used anytime

Anyone signed on loan today would count as a long term loan, so the parent club can't recall them. The emergency window opens from the 8th February to the 24th of March and we can sign someone for a maximum period of 93 days. The parent club can recall players who are on short term loan. So we either sign someone today or we're fucked for the next three games. Long Term Loan Transfers shall be for a Playing Season or from the commencement of the Playing Season to 31st December or from 1st January (the January Transfer Window) to the end of the Playing Season. The Board may approve loans between Clubs in membership of the competitions referred to in Rule 6.4.4 in respect of Players aged 24 and under on or before 30th June prior to the commencement of the Playing Season and provided the loan is registered by four (4) hours before the Clubs first fixture of its Playing Season or from any date between the commencement of a Membership Year to the 31st August in that Membership Year to any date between 1st and 31st January following or from any date between 1st and 31st January in a Membership Year to the end of that Playing Season relative to the Club taking him on loan. A Player on long term loan may not be recalled except for a goalkeeper or where the Player is to be transferred permanently by the Club holding his registered contract. A Player other than a goalkeeper so recalled cannot be permitted to play for the Club holding his registration after such recall until the end of the Season. Players so recalled can only be replaced by a further long term loan with permission from the Company. Long term loans transfers will not count against the number of short term loans in Rule 6.4.4.] http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/~/media/Files/PDF/TheFA/Rules_Regs/FA_Handbook_2010-11-v1.ashx/FA_Handbook_2010-11-v1.pdf

How many more long-term loans can we have this season? Using my FM knowledge, it's 5 a season isn't it?

When are we allowed to panic? It wouldn't be fun if we waited until 11pm before we begin to moan. I'm off to thisis to slag off Fitton and Wilson, fuck waiting

Not to us, but Andy Carroll to Liverpool for £35m. I don't normally care much about Prem transfers but that is a mental valuation, surely?
Apparently Newcastle rejected the £35m for Carroll, which is even more mental. Fee now agreed, but how much?

You allowed 4 long term loans of players under the age of 23 but only allowed 6 loan players in first 11 plus subs. We could sign long term loans with older players which has no limit neither do short term loans

Huddersfield Town are interested in 24-year-old Yeovil striker Dean Bowditch and trying to do some business this evening.
Name rings a bell, but was that because we just played them. We might be have a bit of an issue f 'uddersfield are in the same market as us.

I'm hitting refresh across about five different websites hoping for a sniff of some town news. We need to sign someone and the silence is deafening. Guardian live blog is pretty good: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jan/31/transfer-window-deadline-day-live"Do Andy Carroll's current bail conditions still dictate that he has to reside with Kevin Nolan? If so, does that mean he a) has a commute to training at Liverpool, or b) Nolan is part of the deal?" I don't think it has to be specifically Kevin Nolan he lives with. The point was that Nolan was his club captain. Maybe he can just move in with Steven Gerrard. Actually, hang on.
