If we get offered 1.5m plus Fitton will accept. Those expecting to get 2.3m plus are having a laugh IMO.

I dont think we should settle for less than we got for Cox, so 2m.

However, I expect we will sell for less.

Well, considering we (allegedly) got offered £1.7m from Hull, that's a load of bollocks.

I thought I read/heard that they offered less than Millwall did?

It's a usual case of 5th hand info which isn't exactly groundbreaking, but I'll pass it on anyway.

I heard someone talking on Saturday about having just spoken to Charlie's Dad. APPARENTLY Hull are the only team to have made a firm bid, which was for £700k which was turned down as the club are starting with a £2million figure in mind.

It was felt that this was very much a starting point for negotiations and that it wasn't a take it or leave it offer, which is backed up by the article from the Sun.

Charlie was meeting with his agent on Sunday to assess the state of play in terms of interest and personal terms going forward as it is felt that it is an inevitability that there will be an acceptable sooner rather than later.

He is unsure about moving so far away from family/friends and is hoping for a southern team to come in.

All 5th hand info and probably bollocks but worth posting.

I am pretty certain we will sell him.
But I cannot see us getting much more than £1m for him, if an offer of this came in they would let him go for sure

If the board sold austin in january lets say for 2 million and didint invest aleast half that in the current squad i feel there would be alot of bad feeling towards the board and some would almost want them out!! Hopfully they have lernt from the sale of greer not to sell our best players when we are supost to be a progessing club. Lets see some sort of tidy up in the dressing room and get rid of a few and bring in a few, we can all wish!!

If he goes in this transfer window it will be for a club record fee.

Later on, maybe not as much.

I think the opposite. 10 more goals will be 25 in a season for CA, which can only add to his value. I'd also like to think he will sign a contract extention which will also add to his value.

Whne we DO sell him then it should only be if we can replace him AND have money left over to invest in the rest of the squad so that we can mount a real challenge for next season. The way i see it we'd be looking for 2.5 million at the end of the season, which would put a mil in the bank & 1.5 million for the squad.
