Hope its just silly season paper talk. I don't think I could take Austin leaving. Not sure we can fend off bigger clubs forever.

"Linked to" usually means little more than "might think about putting in a bid for". As I explained to the resident Cardiff fan in the office (some sort of equal opportunities thing I think) yesterday who sent me a link to a story saying they were thinking of putting in a £1m bid for Charlie as "evidence" that they were about to sign him: Three things: 1) "Bid" is very different from "sign" 2) A million quid? And the rest! 3) You lot haven't got a million even if it was enough
Tenner says Charlie starts the season in a Town shirt

Considering Charlie would cost money and Ken Bates doesn't like getting his cheque book out, it's more likely to be Hulse, on a free from Derby.

The fact is that we're in silly season time, and some mong says one thing, and the next minute it's all over the internet.

Fitton has laughed off all Austin rumours because they are just that.

Exactly, as much as we all would like to believe that Austin is worth millions, here are the facts... 1) Austin cost us no more than £50k less than 6 months ago 2) Charlie's only played 1/2 a season of competitive football 3) He's contracted here for a long time! Although Charlie's shown great promise in that time, no club would risk the millions needed after just 1/2 a season of professional football, and (thank god!) STFC wouldn't let him go cheap either. We all know the reality, clubs will be sniffing around now and in Jan, but he most likely won't go for at least 1 full season... so until March 2011, we shouldn't be giving this too much attention!

I'd be really surprised if Austin even wanted to leave, no matter what club comes in for him.
He's had an amazing season (did he ever think he'd play at Wembley?), is worshipped by the fans, has a long contract and will be first choice striker next season (and will have to go on a really, really bad run for that to change). He genuinely seems over the moon (permanently) at where he is now and I can't see him risking that by moving to another club, I doubt any sum of money would be worth it for him to be sat on the bench every week at another club.

I just saw a young black guy pulling out from the county ground in a newish range rover 4x4 (or similar car) with a private plate LHB. Any ideas?
Might be nothing but may be something, just wanted to share.

That's not as bad as being asked at least three times a day for "that film with the the famous fella in" The answer is almost always Forrest Gump or a different Tom Hanks movie.
