Jonathan Stead a superb signing? you have to be kidding, very hit and miss last few years and if anything sounds like another waste of money.
Would score goals for fun at this level IMO. This was said last season was it not?
May have been mate, didn't fancy them myself but aren't doing themselves too much harm with their signings so far. Cardiff can't afford Austin.
With the Chopra money apparently, if he goes. But I really can't see any bid under £2 million for Austin being accepted and I don't think a club would be willing to pay more than that for him, at this stage. |

Only what I have heard mate. Supposedly they will get £3/4 million for Chopra if he goes and it's not like they would spend all of that on Austin, can't see any club bidding over £1.5 million for him. |

I bloody hope that's true. I can't believe the board or management would let him go even if a decent offer came in. There'd be too much of a backlash from the supporters and they know he's too valuable in the push for promtion next season. |

I bloody hope that's true. God's honest truth. A very good friend of mine was speaking with him the day after the PO final. Said he knows of the interest from Newcastle, but doesn't plan on going anywhere unless the club (Swindon) tell him otherwise. My friend was paraphrasing when he said Austin plans on returning for pre-season at the club he loves. |

Would make sense, Wilson was after Reid last summer before he went to West Brom, He had an unsuccessful spell on loan at Peterborough but he's not a bad player and has pace, As for Le Fondre where did you hear the rumour from? If we signed those two especially Le Fondre i would be very happy with that. |

It's a bullshit rumour that a few people caught wind of and are now starting to run with it, especially at work. Rotherham apparently want £500K for him and he has attracted Championship clubs. It's a non-starter IMO.
I know we were after Reid last summer, I think someone remembered it and decided to create a rumour about it. To be honest, I'd rather a bullshit rumour to talk about than absolutely nothing.
I've also heard the name Abdi Ibrahim, a Man City youngster, who may be heading our way. Again, no substance to it, it was probably made up, but fuck it... Something to talk about!
