Huddersfield have signed Gary Naysmith. Bloody hell that's not half bad for L1. Rejected a new Sheff U contract as well.

I just did a quick trawl of the Football Rumours website....
On the coaching side: - Tommy Widdrington is joining as Youth Manager from Salisbury - Sam Parkin joining as a striker coach
Players joining us: - Matt Tubbs is signing on a free - Ben Davies from Notts County - Ward on a season long loan - Robson Kanu from Reading for £200k - Daniel Pacheco season long loan - Gabor Gyepes on a free - Miguel Commingues for £50k - Rorry Fallon for £100k - Nicky Bailey for £1.5m
Players leaving us: - Austin to PNE for £1m, or Charlton for £750k plus Izale McLeod, or Palace, or Derby, or Coventry (or he's staying) - O'Brien to Dagenham for £50k
Can you spot the one that's obviously made up? That's right, who the fuck would pay £50k for O'Brien?
All the rumours about Austin are worrying, there is no smoke without fire - my kitchen is proof of that.

I think rumours sites are the exception to the rule - so much crap goes on there. First of all, who in their right mind would expect us to sell Austin for £1m, especially to PNE who are skint. As for spending £1.5m on Nicky Bailey, I don't need to say how stupid that suggestion is.

Austin wouldn't be sold for £1million, He has massive potential and we're under no pressure to sell, I would expect only a stupid ridiculous offer would tempt the board to even consider selling him.

Charlton appear to be fucked financially and its looking likely Bailey will be on his way with Norwich and Southampton interested, maybe for less than £1m. Leaving aside the why the fuck would he come here question I can't see us spending that much either but, if Henshall goes to Man City and they pay a large wedge up front anything could be possible.
Pretty certain Matt Tubbs has still got a year or two on his contract at Salisbury. The Widdrington rumour seems so random there might be some truth in it and maybe Tubbs could be coming as well, can't see him costing that much.
Commingues has been offered a 6 month contract at Cardiff, not sure if he's signed it or not though.
We're sorted for centre backs so I can't see us being interested in Gyepes, unless Morrison is on his way out.
The Austin rumours most likely just confirm a lot of clubs are interested in him which is only to be expected. The stupid valuations are just coming from fans of other clubs that aren't in touch with reality. I can't see Fitton accepting anything less than £2m and I'm not sure there will be any clubs willing to pay that much, but stranger shit has happened.

I don't think Fitton will sell for less than £2.5million that's just my opinion, Maybe he would accept £2million but i think if someone offered £2.5million it would be very hard to turn down.
As for clubs paying that kind of money i don't think many championship teams would except for maybe Forest, Middlesbrough and the recently relegated teams from the prem, Newcastle have been tracking him for months and would have no problem forking out that kind of money.
