Paul Benson (29) of Dagenham is a name we have been linked with. Scored 16 goals this season and had a couple of months out with a hooky knee. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_BensonTop scorer in the conference in 06/07 with 28 goals. Interesting one. He’s certainly older and likely to be a lot more expensive than the usual chaps we take a punt on from the conference or lower league but the stats show he has an eye for goal. Certainly looks a good replacement for Corr or Sturrock but not for the Cox . |

Rivalry aside, you've got to have a look at players from local teams - David Noble and Jennison Myrie-Williams have been released by Bristol City this evening. They'll maybe release Jamie McCombe too, he would certainly be worth a look.
