The trialists are Former Falkirk defender Jean-Francois Lescinel, and target man Hamdi Razak, who once trialled at Dover Athletic.

Dover Athletic. Oh lordie.

It's only a trial I suppose. Bit disappointed if this is the calliber of our search.

Sorry if that sounds like condemning someone I've not seen play. If it were pre-season it would be different, but we need experience and quality now

Jean-Francois Lescinel seems to be an international (Haiti, 2 caps).

Stats show he is 22 but none too experienced:

Years            Club                App (Gls)*
2002–2004        PSG B           2 (0)
2004–2006        Sedan B
2006                 Falkirk          9(0)
2006–2008    Guingamp     12 (0)

Jody’s Wolves affair is nearly over

Wolves club captain Jody Craddock says his time at Molineux is in its final straight as he admitted he may have to drop a level to revive his career.

League One pair Swindon and Northampton are said to be interested in the 33-year-old, who is out of contract again this summer, while he was watched by Walsall’s football consultant Paul Taylor last night.

Wolves’ longest-serving player, who signed from Sunderland for £1.75m in 2003, hasn’t played competitively since breaking his foot in the second game of the season.

Craddock, 33, cut an impressive figure as he played a full 90 minutes in last night’s 2-0 friendly win over Hungarian side Ujpest. But although he would love to continue with the Championship promotion-chasers, he thinks it’s unlikely.

“I love Wolves and I’d play there until I retire, but I can’t see that happening,” said Craddock.

“That’s football for you, but every time I get a chance, I’ll do the best I can and train as hard as I can, and if something comes up, then I take it.

“I need to play football and if I have to drop down a level, I’m not so proud not to do that.”

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy revealed there was plenty of interest in taking Craddock and transfer-listed centre-back Darren Ward on loan. But with Richard Stearman suspended for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Middlesbrough, he is unwilling to allow both to leave at the same time as he wants to keep four centre-halves.

“There is interest in them both actually and I’m sure one or two watched them last night,” said McCarthy.

“But that will be determined by what we’ve got because I want four centre-backs. I’ve got five at the minute, but I certainly want four.

“If one of them wants to go out, they can – Jody could do with some games and so could Wardy – but I want four because sod’s law, you get down to three and one gets injured and you’re struggling.”

Jody Craddock would be a very good signing, but whenever anybody of any worth becomes available
there are always other clubs interested. We're not competitive when it comes to wages,so i tend not
to get my hopes up too much.

Though a fit Craddock would be the bollox i feel that theres something amiss...Wolves are not blessed with a big squad and surely a fit Craddock would be retained for cover in there promotion push...the last thing we need is a big earner with niggly injuries.

Recent history I'm afraid. Someone will join eventually. Cox was the last contracted league player we convinced to join, and that we nearly missed out there.
