As said in the other thread, he's signed for Southend.

Well, the Southend fans will be smug.

Where was he before? How did he miss that chance when he played for us against Accy a few seasons ago. He did make up for it by making the equaliser for Peacock.

Some Southend fan is mouthing off on the 606 site (he's probably only 8 mind you) that Swindon are a tin pot club and that's why Betsy chose to go to Southend.
If only we had a magnificent stadium like Roots Hall eh?
As a great lover of irony, I really loved that comment.

They're moving out of Roots Hall aren't they though? I just can't see how Southend fans have become these big time Charlies - we're not by any means a big club but neither are Southend. It seems to me that because they had a brief stint in the Championship means that they are simply too good for L1. It'll end in tears for them - just as it did last season courtesy of James Coppinger - an average player who decimated them.

I remember McMahon getting sent off in the Championship... and Collymore being a badass for them... But they certainly don't have any reason to think they're high and mighty.

Southend are alright, they're a small lcub who have done very well for themselves in recent times. They may have some more good times, but give it a few years and they'll be back down in the 4th tier. Don't dislike the club though tbh.

Neither do I. I just think that our policy of working within a strict budget is far more sensible and whilst it will mean a certain amount of frustration in the short term by missing out on certain targets as we have seen this close season, it is more likely to produce long term success. And it's highly ironic that a Southend fan thinks we are a 'tin pot' club. That's all really.

Ambitious Swindon are eyeing Nigerian midfielder Adigun Salami. Salami is keen to play in England after having a trial with Chelsea. But first he plans to help his Danish club FC Midjylland knock Manchester City out of the UEFA cup this week.
Presumably his agent is using us to get him a move somewhere in a "look someone is already interested" way.
