Fitton stated that he wasn't looking to bring back ex-players a copuple of months ago.
Given Sol's unfortunate health problems in the not too distant past I'd say it was a long shot that we'd be seeing him here, at best

Sol did incredibly well to return to 1st team football in such a short space of time, given the fact that he suffered a suspected stroke. For that he deserves everyone's respect.I wouldn't have thought we were looking his way,as we seem to want pacy fullbacks, who also offer a large physical presence as well.

Sol is one of my all time favourites. Maybe my memory is a bit rubbish, but i like his attitude, and thought he was talented with it.

Was it Sol who completely man marked Jermain Defoe out of the game when we played Bournemouth a few years back, when Defoe was banging them in left, right and centre?
That was an awesome display of man marking if I remember rightly!

Derby is right and it was Sol. He was superb that day and back then Defore had scored at least one in the last 12 matches that the 'Muff had played.

Didn't Sol get sent off for first crippling Scott Murray, then kicking two other City players (Peacock included iirc) then elbowing Tommy Doherty in the face just after he'd received the red card whilst he was at Luton? I seem to remember City fans being up in arms about it years ago.
If so, bring him back!

I know he was sent off for Swindon against them early in his career too - and yes he did get sent off for Luton at BC for going mental (below avatar is a reenactment)
