Tafazolli confirmed.
1 year deal.

Wycombe fans very complimentary about him.

Taff to Swindon

Confirmed.
It’s been a pleasure. If he had had a little more luck with injuries he could have been up there as one of our best centre backs.

Fair play to him. It sounds like it was a Mutual Termination agreement

Great player when fit and we’ll always have THAT goal and victory. Best of luck to him in the future.

All the best Taf, was imperious at times and in his early days here we were always a better side with him there.

Right up there with the best CBs we’ve ever had. And seems like a really top bloke as well.

Great player when fit

very sad to see him go. Great player and a great example for the new players. The most approachable player I have ever met as well and would talk to you like you’d just met a mate down the pub. I wish him all the best

Top player, top man. Always happy when he was in the side. Just a shame about the injuries.

Good luck Ryan, if he stays injury free he’ll be a good league 2 defender for sure.

To be fair, its a deal that works out well for him. He’s moving to a club that needs reinforcement in defence (even though they had signed 11 players before Taff!) and the commute / drive to the ground isn’t a killer.

Tafzolli and Palmer are certainly statement signings for the here and now. Bit of Thorpe and Cureton about them, but that doesn't mean they'll end the same way.

Seems like we've traded potential in Ameen for right now. Probably sensible, but it really does mean we need to go up this year now.

Stats nerds (okay, stats nerds other than me) - when did we last have four 33 year olds in the squad?

I would guess under Brown maybe? we had several over 30 players but no idea on actual ages without checking but we had...Lancashire, Diagoraga, Robertson, Richards, McCormack, Taylor, Robinson all int he same team that season.

Any idea if the new signings can play tomorrow?

Happy to bring in a couple of big old units.

Sounds like Palmer is in the squad (per Moonraker) and Tafazolli is travelling but not in the squad (per Ian Holloway).

Finally feels like we are trying to get out the league to the best of our ability.  Its been a few season since it felt like that.

So credit where its due,  even if it dosen't work out.

Don't want to appear negative, but another centre half with a history of bad injuries? Still it's L2 I suppose so have to be hopeful he'll stay fit

I think Palmer will start.

Do we think that's all our incoming business done?

I think Wellens made the point when he was here that the only reason we can afford some of these "higher profile" players is because they are injury prone and, for that reason, they are prepared to drop down a level or two at a lower salary.

Sign a midfield general and/or a right back, and we’re in business.

Joking aside, credit where it is due with these signings on paper. It sounds like we shouldn’t expect stacks of goals from Palmer, but we can expect him to draw defenders and create space for others. This could be good news for his various strike partners.

I randomly went onto Tafazolli’s YouTube channel. The first video I clicked on has him and Palmer say together watching a cup draw…. They’ve not spent time at the same club, but appear to know each other….
