Was just going off the Harley Hunt fee (500k straight up), Ameen has proven a few times he is a real talent - Bradford at home was one of the best performances i’d seen for a while at the County Ground. Youth international and 20 pro games under his belt having just turned 18. I think there’s a lot for a bigger club to work with.

How much are we likely to get for Ameen at a Tribunal at the end of the season?

From the FA website:
"The Tribunal will also set out any other financial provisions or contingent payments relating to appearances, promotion, international selection, sell-on fees etc. In reaching a decision, the Tribunal may consider some or all of the following criteria:
The status of each Club The age of the player The amount of any transfer fee paid by the former Club on acquisition of the player and the length of time the former Club has held the player’s registration The terms of the new contract offered to the player by each Club The training and development of the player at the former Club (specialist coaching, education, welfare) The player’s playing record and achievements Substantiated interest shown in the player by other Clubs Other costs incurred by the former Club directly or indirectly attributable to the training and development of the player, including any relevant medical or rehabilitation costs Attempts made to reach an agreement concerning the amount of compensation due (evidence of any written correspondence as well as details of any phone calls or meetings between the two clubs will be required)
The Player’s registration for the new Club will not be accepted until such time as that Club has confirmed in writing to the Association that it will negotiate a compensation fee with the former Club, failing which it will abide by any decision taken by a Tribunal."
So in short, Sweet FA.

The Club will have to present a good argument then, I think it’s possible to do but it has to be presented and substantiated well

There is absolutely nobody at the club, in a backroom position, who would be capable of presenting a good argument. We'd probably come out of the tribunal owing the buying team money.

Cynically, probably the FA Tribunal has a pretty good idea of the final fee, and whether there are going to be add-ons, prior to meeting with the clubs, I don't think what either club has to say matters that much for the final outcome. The process as set-out would seem to allow for generous wiggle room with zero accountability. How good is the player going to be? What level will he play at? So as a sub for a League Two team, with potential to play in League 1, I would say 100k quid. He needs to start games and score a few to be worth a bigger fee.

The official line from Ollie is he didn't do as told when brought on this season (run at them). Maybe it's that simple, I find it a bit of a stretch personally.

I would counter this by saying the rest of the team aren’t doing what Holloway says either!

Maybe things changed after Holloway met Ameens parents back end of last season. Also find it weird that he mentioned players weren’t listening on the training ground which could suggest they aren’t happy with his tactics etc.
