You get ‘passion’ with Holloway. I don’t believe he is a ‘crony’ per se. I think he gets his way (to a degree) with Clem, as he is the only one who understands football. I suspect the club is getting much more than it could afford to pay for with Holloway.
Yeah I agree with this.
If you are Holloway you've asked to keep the core squad together, to bring in certain players, turned down sizeable bids for your star man and probably a few other things. If you get all that then you're going to be happy with Clem.
In fairness this is the best it's felt on the field for ages and Morfuni has backed him. Things do feel a bit better this year.
The issue is everything else - possibly robbing Peter to pay Paul and it all being built on a house of cards and debt.
