currently live just outside Halesowen near Hagley and can say central Brum has been cleaned up. Broad Street is still a dive though but Brindley Place or the Mailbox are some smart places to go. Colemore Row can be added to that now as some nice bars have opened up and then towards the new library

Solihull is one of the posh spots and locals don't like to say it's part of Birmingham

Tell me about it! my mate says shes a Silhillian, she actually lives in Shirley and lived 40 years in Chelmsley Wood, which is far less salubrious!

Recall Solihull and Sutton Coldfield as being considered not parts of Brum.

Solihull is pretty much independent, although informally it’d be considered ‘Greater Birmingham’.

Sutton Coldfield is officially part of Birmingham though.

I wasn't around in 1528 when it was favoured by Henry VIII.

So to sum up...Birmingham is a very big city and not surprisingly has some good areas, some bad and some in between...

Anyone got any transfer rumours?

Yes thread got derailed a bit, as for Transfer rumours concerning STFC, nope got none.

I expect Holloway to get in possibly 1 more CB, 1 different style midfielder and 1 wide attacker and I think that will be your lot this Summer. Probably 1 or will be younger/non league punts and 1 of them a more experienced player.

Moonraker today mentioning potential of going in for another target man style forward. Think that would be a good idea to take some load off of Smith and have adequate cover. Drinan is a okayish stand in but not quite the same type.

Was speaking about this very point to another TEF'er only 2 days ago, saying we have no like for like replacement for Smith if he gets injured or suspended for any long term.

Kyle Hudlin is a free agent, 6’9 albeit can’t win a header. However H Smith couldn’t win a header first time round at STFC, maybe could teach him a thing or two.

Hudlin looks like a very poor footballer. I guess many see his height as a huge weapon but for that height he isn't great in the air. Take someone like Peter Crouch for instance, tall and gangly but had a great touch (for a big man) and was very effective.

Hudlin doesn't seem to have any useful attributes, aside from helping old ladies reach things on shelves at supermarkets.
