Had a look at Vernam’s stats under Holloway: 15 games (7th most for a manager), 6 goals (2nd most for a manager), 2 assists (5th most for a manager). Certainly had a good spell under IH, perhaps hoping they can replicate it.

Excellent stats at Bradford 8 goals in 28 league games which got him a League One move. Had a quick flick through on Twitter and it seems he's highly thought of by the Grimsby fan but it's just his injuries that have been his issue

Grimsby not gutted to lose him then. Seems like the right type of player, but probably not someone to rely on. Could see us getting a similar player on loan as well - inconsistent attackers are hardly the toughest ask to get on loan!

I guess Ollie knows and trusts him, but is the injury gamble creeping back in. Thought one of the other recruits was similar, might be wrong. |
