500k for a league 2 striker who's got 2 league goals and spends the vast majority of the time on our bench. Honestly, what world are some people living in. We'd be lucky to get any fee whatsoever. * For the record, I rate Glatzel. But fuck me. This place sometimes. I did think similar. Think 50k is probably more realistic.

I'm pretty certain Nigel Clough confirmed a few months ago they got offered Reed for £24k. He'd done a damn sight more for us than Glatzel had so I'm fairly confident any fee would be less than that.

Assume circumstances are different - Reed had 6 months left on his deal (I think?), unsure how much longer Glatzel has but presume more than a year? Not for one minute suggesting we should be getting a sizeable fee for Glatzel btw

Reports from Vale fans suggest he's a good shot stopper but not particularly commanding of his box. Time will tell how accurate that is.

Allegedly he was on a decent wage at Vale.

Wikipedia states that he is fluent in French, at least he can call the ref something without getting booked for it. Also, most clean sheets in League One, 2016/17.

Some Ripley stats from Sofascore in L2 this season:
2nd highest SofaScore rating across all L2 GK’s. Most accurate passes per game. Most key passes per game.
Stats aren’t everything but much better than the current two.

Port Vale opinions are to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Apparently he's had a bust up with Darren Moore and gone a bit AWOL.

We'll see how he goes, but it's clearly somewhere we need to improve.
I do find it hard to imagine that anyone could have a bust up with Darren Moore though, seems a very agreeable bloke
