One is a striker and the other is at Palace - that’s all I know unfortunately.
One is a striker and one a midfielder, the midfielder is from Palace and is wanted by a few clubs at L2.

Strangely I feel reasonably positive about Nichols as Holloway is in sole charge he knows exactly what is needed he is not going to bring players in because it is a good deal or sign a youngster as someone has told him he has potential.
I think possibly with outgoings - I'm not sure Clem will go behind Holloways back and sell anyone as Holloway would not be happy and it would risk him walking, and that is not what is needed at the present time, and Clem wants to be able to come back into the country without stfc wanting to lynch him for sending the club down

I think that’s the key thing here.
Holloway has specifically said he won’t sell Harry Smith - thus if he does get sold it’s clearly been done above his head & everyone will know that.
Clem should (might?) then realise if he does indeed sell Harry Smith the backlash will be firmly pointed in his direction.
Also be interesting to see what Harry Smiths goal return this season is like compared to last season. No one (as far as I know) tried to prise him away from Sutton last January?
I think you're right. Holloway isn't stupid, this is a challenge to Clem. Holloway is almost asserting his authority

Plenty of other people to lynch him aren’t there.

And if he is, how much BBQ sauce?

Ian Holloway on the signing of Tom Nichols
It's almost as if he has a coherent idea of what the problems are and a possible way to solve them, or even just a fucking clue which seems like a bit of a novelty for us in recent years

He's clearly a 'character' and quite a marmite one at that, and based on nothing aside from visual improvement of some of the squad I do get the feeling that IH will get the best out of a lot of players, and I dare say he's pretty popular with the group of players. I'm sure he gives his players the belief to get the best out of them.

His career suggests he's a solid League Two pro, which considering the short term goal is to build a solid League Two team is no bad thing. He's not the future, but we're not about the future right now.
Exactly, we are in a not very good position currently and Holloway wants some more experience in the squad which this signing fits the bill. Hope he gets off to a flying start.

Jadan Raymond fits that bill.

The fact Holloway can sit and talk for 10 minutes (albeit drifts off subject) about a new signing and what they will bring shows progress. Morris wouldn’t have had more than 5 words to say about Dylan Kadji upon arrival.
