That squad is so meh.
Outside of possibly McGurk I don’t there is a single exciting player in there. No maverick, no talisman, no one remotely capable of making something happen, a bit of magic. Absolutely no flair (wooo)

…and thus far Kennedy’s tactics have made the play even more lifeless & boring.

Reasonable squad but the only way that team is ever achieving anything is if they are fitter, faster & stronger than everyone else & drilled the way a Macari or Di Canio would do.

…but…hey I’m all for shite football if it gets results but even majoritly shite football needs the odd spark to get results.

The positives - we have a squad and it has players with L2 experience.  Something we were missing.

The red flags (for me) - I agree we lack anyone able to turn a game (as far as I can tell), and it now looks a lot like a Flitcroft type team.  I hated that season and a bit and we did win more than we lost.

How many players have we signed in the Clem era?  Someone is making a killing.

Agree there adje...let's at least hope for the best with the new signings until we've seen something to make us think otherwise...maybe that time will be after the Notts Co game tomorrow but as you say, who knows?

I mean their career stats & the calibre of teams letting them go - certainly doesn’t point to any of these being top end L2 players…

Meh, I bet fans haven’t been classy about her time here & his departure. So not sure we should expect any in return.

I mean 2021/22 season McKirdy is exactly what this team needs…

I'm part of the problem.

I am fully aware that Mckirdy is a complete backwards, PR move and more than likely doesn't work.

Yet if he was announced in 10 minutes, for some strange reason I'd be more than ok with it.

Nostalgia hits hard.

Barely played since leaving us. Struggled when he returned here in the games he did play and is not really the type of player to thrive in the current set-up. He is 27 and has had one very good season in his entire career, where he played in a completely different system to what we have currently. Forgive me for being a little pessimistic, but I would be pretty underwhelmed if the club view McKirdy as the answer to our problems.
