I hope the signings, by the end of today, indicate a change, however marginal, in our approach. If we sign a number ten, then that would suggest a less one dimensional approach to getting it forward. I also hope the GK is a number 1, not a number 13.
What does 'get it forward' man shout nowadays? All we seem to do is get it forward and it just comes straight back! 😀 |

Morshead says we're certainly open to offers. It makes sense, it's a position we have a lot of cover in - would at least look to get him game time at an NL/NL South club. Moonraker also says: Swindon are likely to announce at least two more signings before the window closes at 11pm on Friday (August 30): another midfielder and a goalkeeper. announce sounds a bit like they're already done. So expect goalkeeper and another mid in, Khan, Uwakwe and maybe Johnson out. Anything outside of that would be a surprise. Youth team loans I think don't need to be done today - transfer window doesn't apply at NL level and below. |

Fully expect today to be a goalkeeper in on loan and Danny Butterworth to come in on a perm deal plus another player on loan, probably another midfielder.
Uwakwe could well have his contract terminated and with Khan gone too thats freed some budget.
Johnson needs a loan to the National league to build fitness but I would be upset to see him leave, I expect Glatzel to still be here until at least January.

Butterworth has three sub appearances totalling 41 mins for Carlisle in L2 this season. We must be pretty confident that we are seeing something in him that Carlisle aren’t (assuming he will sign, and that you’ve got the inside line on this.) |
