Sounds promising.

Makes you wonder though why Chesterfield let him go?

Not sure they had a choice. Not under contract from what I can see.

He wasn't offered a new deal by them though. That is a choice no?

Think he was one of their higher earners and they have a very promising younger right back . Can't remember his name but remember the lad Tom Williams doing a bit on him on twitter

A couple of spirites on Twitter regarding King.

Quote

Swindon fans gotta be happy with that. Good luck @Jeffking034 just not on friday laa 😉

Cant see why he wouldn't ,[sign] though, played with gav, khan and freckleton, over last few years. And if you need a attacking wing back, who can score worldies and a set piece machine. 🤷‍♂️

Gutted he left, but go smash it Jeffy.

Def a fans favourite for all he does for fans/in community as well as on pitch. You can’t help but love him. His 2nd season with us was fantastic 8 goals, loads of assists from RB. Will give 100% but can be inconsistent & better as attacking wing back than right back

Encouraging to hear that he's better at wing back than full back. Should fit our system nicely.

Is the first Jeff we have had play for STFC?
Back in the late 70s we had youngster who played for the reserves called Jeff Stallard, he never played for the 1st team though, remember watching him in a few games as I used to go to most reserve games back then.

Welcome to the club Jeff King, I have heard some good reports about him from a few people, and Chesterfield fans seem to like him.

Interesting that he started his career out as a striker, then an attacking midfielder and now a wingback.

Not sure if that was the reason he left mate as yesterday Chesterfield signed a young Columbian international right wingback Devan Tanton on loan from Fulham, the position King played in for them.

Very highly rated by Fulham, lightning quick with a decent cross and could cause our fullbacks problems Friday.
Has very little game experience which is why they've probably let him out on loan

Not younger i got it wrong but by all accounts Rhyheem Shackleton the guy who took his place was superb. I would imagine that was with an eye to knowing king was leaving i suppose
