1 in 3 goal rate isn't terrible.

It would be bloody tremendous at Swindon Town.

I just read about his Crichlow's mum; killed in Barbados, cancer twice , two strokes, strangled and set light to..... fuck!
That was spoke about on here when he signed for us on loan from Huddersfield. Horrific, I am pretty sure something also happened to his brother too IIRC.

FWIW I remember his dad playing for QPR in the late 90s.

The long interview with Jamie Russell in the Moonraker is worth the price of admission alone. Comes across as a nice fella with a plan working within significant constraints, quite a modern approach - if I'm honest I can see why a Charlie Austin might not have seen eye to eye!

The harder bits of news in there are that we offered Dan Kemp "the kitchen sink", Devoy "more than what we wanted to" and that the first year pros are included in the 24 man squad target if they don't go out on loan. Expecting one more creative mid in before the season, and probably a backup goalkeeper. Expecting at least one out permanently.

Genuinely interestingly, we were very close to the maximum amount of salary we were allowed to pay under League rules last season - which is eye opening. I suspect a lot was going to injured players!

But yeah, go pay for it, it's well worth a read. https://themoonraker.counterpress.media/

Just a rumour and no substance but Anthony Scully just released by Portsmouth.

Could be an interesting signing. Did well at Lincoln at a young age to get himself a move to the Championship. Maybe League Two is sensible step to rebuild his career.

I'm really surprised we wanted Devoy honestly. I would think there are a lot of players between Kemp and Devoys relative quality.

Defo subscribe to it, its going to be well worth it.

I'm surprised by the salary cap thing, its either to injured players, or as Russell suggests, on deals agreed previously, though i'm not sure how many of those there can have been last season. Austin?

Also fuel to the fire of Khan leaving - Joel Cotterill has been given the #7 shirt Khan's been wearing in preseason - they're both now listed on the site as #7 https://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/teams

Yeah Khan doesnt seem to fit, along with what Russell said via Moonraker about the type of number 6 needed.

Khan is definitely on the way out. I wonder whether our asking price is higher than suitors are willing to pay. At least we now know it's 1 out and 1 in so we should see more business once he's gone.
