Random rumour and probably no substance to it but heard we're looking at Tshimanga at Peterborough.  Whether is a loan or perm not sure.

Deal could hinge on outgoings from the club though
He turned down loan moves to Bromley and Cheltenham already and seems to prefer a move to Southend according to the Posh forum.

Rom Crichlow also available for loan from Posh too.

Strange one, you'd think he'd prefer league football but maybe he's guaranteed 1st team football with them where as with us and the others he's not guaranteed a start.

I wonder if this is all linked to us because of the Wakeling monies

Looking at his career statistics that seems to be his level. So you could well be right he'd rather be the main man there than a squad player in league 2.

Looking at his stats, (which are very impressive in the National League) he seems too good for the NL but not quite good enough for L1. Maybe L2 is his level? You'd think he'd want to give L2 ago so he can give L1 another go if it goes well. More money in the EFL than the National League.

I must admit the first comparison I thought of when I heard his name mentioned was Tomi Adeloye, another lower league experienced player who never made it at league level.

Similar age/build/style of play, but then looking at it further I would think Tshimanga is a lot better quality stats wise.

Adeloye 27 years old
127 games 24 goals (1 goal every 5 games)
22 games 1 goals at L2 level (1 goal every 22 games)
75 games 9 goals at National League level (1 goal every 8 games)

Tshimanga 28 years old
325 games 138 goals (1 goal every 2.3 games)
30 games 0 goals at L1 level (0 goals)
0 games at L2 level
131 games 73 goals at National League level (1 goal every 1.8 games)
1 cap for England C

Hes quite strong and quick and knows where the goal is and does like a 3 yards out tap in! doesnt score many goals outside of the 6 yard box and can take a penalty too.

Tbf I’m not against having him on loan. That’s the sort of calibre of loan I want, not an inexperienced 19 year old.
Weird how we see things isn't he. I would rather the loan than some lad who at 28 has played just 30 league games and scored no goals

Just look at his record in the NL though. It’s outstanding.

Doesn't that suggest that NL might be his ceiling then? Of course the jump from NL to league 1 is big and he could possibly be ready for L2? Still a risk either way.

He's also had terrible injury issues so that's a further risk. Paid dividends with Glatzel mind.

Things is for every Glatzel theres an Alan O'Brien, Reece Devine, Adam Clayton, Dion Conroy etc etc.

I have no idea what his injury history is like TBH and take your word for it mate.
