I do king of wonder if the club just filtered their player database to players from the area and went from there?

Moresheads comment reads to me like they have spread their net wide and pitched offers all over the place as oppose to focus on a few.

I know we still need CB's but a couple of attacking players would make me feel a bit better as well.

Very very highly rated youngster from Chippenham who was on our books as a youngster. Spurs didnt want him to go out on loan last season as they wanted to develop him more before putting him into the mens game.

Turned down Man City before joining Spurs.

Would be a great loan addition.

The Four clubs interested in loaning Jude Soonsup-Bell are. Swindon Town, Shrewsbury Town, Port Vale and Bromley.

Maybe I imagined this, but I thought we were on the Spurs blacklist after we stitched them up around a sell on when we sold both Luongo and Gladwin to QPR? (this could be one of many urban myths mind you)

Pretty sure that was all fan talk and no substance to it.

I would also think that after 9 seasons many of the people involved would have moved on since then.

Liverpool on the other hand fell out with us over a couple of loans before that time after Fitton approached them and Man City about getting an official "feeder club" partnership thing going, which never happened.

I'm not doubting that what you say is true, PV  Wink, but is there any substance to these claims? We appeared to have signed quite a few players from Liverpool in recent seasons. Man City, on the other hand.....

I mean the Liverpool thing was under Fitton - so like 13-14 years ago now.
Even the doing Spurs out of money because of how we structured the sale was a number of years ago now.

I expect hardly anyone involved with those dealings at the time are still at their respective clubs in their respective job roles…

I’d imagine the Spurs thing (if it existed) may have been Power related rather than the club

We had a special relationship with Chelsea for a little bit as well, which had nothing to do with money laundering whatsoever.  Looking back at that Spurs period, it does make you wonder whether Sherwood was on the "books" as well, given what we now know about how the various owners operated/operate.
