Paul Bodin just said on that On The Sofa thing with Vic Morgan, that there is interest from from us for Billy...I wouldn't hate that.

Lives in Shrivenham. Would make sense.

Are we really in a position to pass on Billy Bodin?

36 games for promoted Oxford last season.

His goal returns aren't as impressive as at Rovers but surely he'd be a great option for us.

Not really seen him play since he left here tbh, and that was a long time ago

I haven't either to be honest but whenever I'm looking at new or potential signings I look at their total appearances. As Pericardino says, 36 games last season for a promoted L1 side is far from shabby and if you look at his record since leaving us, it's 328 appearances and 69 goals.

That's pretty solid so he's been doing something right. We could do a lot worse.

Agree with all the above. He also has (or once had, I don’t know if he still does) the ability to play as a wide forward, so he could work in a 3-5-2 as a striker or 4-3-3 as a wide man. Two little options of Bodin and Glatzel, plus two big options (Drinan and Harry Smith) wouldn’t be too bad at all.

Surely no one can turn their nose up on signing Billy. The lad’s way too good for L2, as his success last season shows. If we did manage to sign him that would be incredible.

Bodin inside left, drinan up top and glatzel inside right, with attacking wingback for width. Could be decent honestly.

He’s no target man. 2nd striker.

I seem to remember him missing a 1 on 1 with the keeper vs Cheltenham... I think he was finished in Di Canio's mind at that point... that's just how Di Canio operated...no second chances... If he'd scored it could have been a totally different story...

He really fucked me off when he celebrated in front of us away at Bristol Rovers and then joined the scum. However, would be willing to forgive if he comes back here  Cheesy

Morshead on Twitter: Billy Bodin: would expect him to go elsewhere. Seems to be a case of geography vs better offers further from home. Imagine #stfc will also miss out on Jack Payne. Wonder how many offers to players they've actually made in pursuit of 24-man squad.
