This season has a similar feeling to when Flitcroft was appointed.

Signing players who know L2 and have a fair bit of experience who play a certain way which is more direct and league 2'ey.

I am all for it if it makes us better defensively and still allows us to be fairly creative in attack and far less susceptible in defence to set peices and give us better attacking options at corners.

That season we had Chris Robertson and Olly Lancashire at centre back, and James Dune and Jak McCourt in midfield. I think there is a good argument to say that the current batch are, on paper at least, more promising than those players were, although I appreciate that this is the first time we seem to have returned to what appears to be an intentional drive to compete physically.

Clarke > Dunne
Ofoborh > McCourt
Lancashire (or Sid Nelson) > or = Delaney
Godwin-Malife > Robertson
Sobowale vs Purkiss ??
Longelo/Kokolo vs. Matt Taylor?

There was some right old shite in that Flitcroft side. Remember Dunne getting sent off at Crawley to put us down to 9 men.

There was some shit in that team for certain

but
Remember Dunne getting sent off at Crawley to put us down to 9 men.
A. Flitcroft wasnt manager when Dunne got sent off vs Crawley
B. Dunne got sent off again Accrington last game of the season and Coventry
C. we were 7th when Flitcroft left us in March.

Just has a similar feel to recruitment to that season for me.

I havent seen anything as yet to truly get fans "going" with signings yet IMO, some solid L2 signings, but nothing to excite me.

Now we may know where the funding of our budget will be coming from...

Harley Hunt to the Prem, possibly also alongside Botan Ameen.

Does EPPP only apply to under 16's, so it wouldn't be relevant?
