To be clear, I'm not pooh-poohing the work so far. I am just a sceptic based on past performance, but that doesn't mean change isn't happening.

(I have renewed ages ago for context)

The assistant thing. We could be negotiating compo (Butterfield?)

Apparently MKD where he was on loan this season have made Jack Payne an offer too.

I think they were mentioned when the rumour first appeared. Which is why i dont think there are any legs in the deal. He goes to Franchise right, more money, better chance for promotion.

You would think so.

I know his wife has recently had a baby so depending on where they are now living may also influence his move if it means spending more time at home with the wife and child.

I'm also not entirely sure where he fits in a Kennedy team. He played deep as one of two sitting players for Franchise in their 343 (middle 2 of the 4). We have 3 players already for that role with Khan, Ofoborh, Clarke. Sure he would be a good 4th. But feels more like we need the two number 10's in that set up. Not sure Payne is that player, as a Kemp was.

To be fair we heard all this with Flynn and were all pleasantly suprised how he changed the style. I wouldn't read too much into systems and players just yet

Absolutely, every manager must have a prefered style of play/formation/tactic but you have to use the majority of players you already have so sometimes that tactic can change based upon the players you have.

Liam Kinsella was our first perm signing last year, on 28th July.

The difference this year is we have to recruit in bigger numbers. Its good we've started early but for me the jury will be firmly out until we have a proper squad or until the transfer window shuts.

If I were contemplating ST renewal I'd not be impressed enough yet to do it.

Yeah, I think some people are seeing one signing and a couple of re-signings and getting a bit too excited for me. We're a long way off it. Its a proper rebuild job this year.

2 signings - but, you’re right. I’m not creaming my jeans just yet.

Rosaire Longelo.

I heard this today along with 2 others. A CB and a winger/forward.

Lincoln seem heavily interested in Longelo.

Without giving away anything that needs to be kept under wraps, are these Ollie Clarke-calibre potential signings?
