My conspiracy theory is that they have looked at this season with the Wrexham's & Stockport's and decided to save their budget money for next season.

We "allegedly" didn't even get to this seasons player wages budget - yet we still, "allegedly" required over 1m in cash injections to pay the tax man and wages.  I mean, none of that actually makes sense when said out loud, but thems the words...........

Courtesy of the great that is Andrew Hawes. Ruddy awful viewing. Managed decline in plain sight.

'Current #STFC squad members with 100 EFL/SPL appearances:

Charlie Austin
Udoka Godwin-Malife
Liam Kinsella
Tyrese Shade'

Well done Tyrese, well done.  It's something for every young kid to hang onto.

and Shade is 101, including sub appearances (for us he has 28 starts, 34 sub apps in the league)

They'll be trotting out the same old line a few weeks time when the season tickets are on sale.

If you remove Austin and look at the squad as a whole, there must be less than 200 appearances at a level higher than L2.

Thought I'd compare with a similar-ish team reputation and budget-wise. Settled for Crewe and they have TEN players matching Andrew's 100 apps criteria.

What must other senior members at the club think about what's going on? Yes, of course they have to be professional and give 100% in training and matches etc but surely Charlie, or FBT for example as club captains can't be impressed with the revolving door at STFC.

I know FBT wasn't impressed previously. I wonder whether he might manufacture himself a move before the Window slams shut.

I hope for his sake he does, but I hope for our sake he doesn't.

I don't think Austin has given 100% since being here. That's my opinion. There has to be a reason why players are leaving? The manager, the board or even team mates perhaps?

Sometimes, it may boil down to contract in length and wages.

Sad thing is we know FBT will be gone in the summer right when his contract is up.

There are only 2 alternatives that explain our ‘transfer activity/inactivity’.

1. We are, indeed, truly fucked

Or

2. Clem et al are pocketing as much as they can before selling up
