I still remember the Notts County away game, i think we had Bradford the next week and we knew Young couldn't play that week, so playing RHM and Young made sense against Notts, but nope Charlie started again, even though he had to play the next week!

Weren't we told Young was ill for that game?

Wasnt it Cain that was ill for that game and we chose to play RHM over Young for his pace against a seemingly slow County CB trio?

Whelan says Kinsella to Cheltenham.

Another signal of how low we have fallen. Sigh

Making money on an average player we signed on a free 6 months ago is fine to be honest.

The fact he’s been close to the best of a bad bunch of our remaining midfielders is testament to how poor our squad is. Wish him well anyway, got a bit of bite to him and a committed player.

It aches my soul that our reactions focus more on the 'money for an average player' rhetoric than, what I believe, is a sadder bigger picture. Ultimately, this average player was brought in by our average operation so how can we trust the next one to be a zinger? Sigh.

If true, it's a disappointing exit because Kinsella was exactly what we expected. An experienced, no thrills, steady Eddie player and I personally think we need our experienced no thrills steady Eddie's to remain until the seasons end.

I don't really want to debate why this transfer policy is so shitty and will never fully benefit the club in the long term but it feels more than 'this is just how it is down in L2' because I'm not fully convinced that it is.

Look forward to his replacement being a 12 year old with a glass knee

Kinsella was alright, i wont lose any sleep on him moving on.

IF (big if), we bring in the appropriate replacements.

I'm not sure what set up gets the best out of Kinsella. In a 3 man midfield with one holding player we never used him as the holding player as we needed that man to pick the ball up off the back 4 and move it to more advanced players. He had the destructive side of that role but not much else.

Ordinarily, in a properly ran club, nobody would be arsed with this. We get a fee, a decent wage off the bill and we can hopefully find better.

The issue is, this is one of the few players in our team who seems to actually embrace the 'ugly' side of the game. We are stripping yet more experience, that'll be inevitably replaced by either an u23 player or somebody with a ravaged injury record.

If there's any of you left, please wake up and see what is happening here. We are feeding off scraps, and the minute we get a bid for anybody, they're off.

There's no strategy. No vision. No plan.

Even the most ardent happy clapper can't deny that the playing budget at this point is clearly peanuts and we are being cut to the bone.

Oh yeah I agree with that, I’ve just fully resigned myself to the lowest of expectations with this club. In that crossroads where I  don’t have even the smallest inkling of care for any of this squad departing whilst also having absolutely no faith that they’ll be replaced properly.

Purgatory.

We've seen this film before. Inevitably replace with worse. Managed decline in plain sight.

All is well, Morfuni loves the club and is just hamstrung by those pesky previous owners.

Wake the fuck up  Head Hurts

Even if the season is done at this stage, what a professionally run club does is it looks to put a long term manager in place and let him start building a team for the rest of the season and then build on it with a full pre-season, with a view to a successful next term.

The argument that oh well theres nothing to play for so no point spending money is fucking insane, as if come the summer window hes going to suddenly let the shackles off and provide a warchest for a promotion push.  Crash
