I wondered if he was going to be another one of David Johnson’s lads but he isn’t.

Completely agree we need some experience in the team/squad.
It doesn't mean these type of signings are bad, especially if on a perm as an investment.
But yes the balance has been woefully missing and its hard to believe the club regime will change that, i guess Kinsella is the only exception, Austin having been bought by the Chairman.

I'm guessing he'll join on a perm like the other two last week. Would certainly back up  the ''lack of funds'' for any experience.

They have an option for an extra year.

Clearly there is the lack of funds for the level of experience we all want, i'm not disputing that.

If thats the model though, and there is to be limited experience, then i think we should be a little smarter about how we use that experience budget. I'm sure Austin isn't on the crazy money some people suggest, but i would be sure he is the highest paid player at the club. I would rather not have Austin, and have 2 experienced players for a similar wage, and have one at CB and one in the heart of midfield. I know it shouldn't come to that trade off, but there are smarter ways of sprinkling the limited experience you have across the team.

Interesting to hear the interview with Gav where he seemed adamant that we will be bringing players in including a mixture of youth and experience. Also said Clem is backing the club massively. The proof will be in the pudding.

The constant references to "Clem overseeing transfers". "Clem backing the club massively", "Gav and Clem and the coaching team" really do highlight what an egotistical psychopath he must be. There's nothing to be proud of in this abject failure, which makes it all the more bizarre that he insists on the constant self-namedropping.
