Not a signing I really understand but I guess it signifies one of our existing midfielders is off as he’s of the exact same ilk as our existing midfielders.
So he doesn’t replace Young or Kemp, doesn’t improve the defence and doesn’t add physicality to the midfield.
Literally addresses none of our priorities. Odd signing.

Kind of funny if we 'almost' signed him twice in one season. Possibly just been using Flynn to get better deals elsewhere both times! |

Have to give the club credit here, they’ve taken the “take players, develop them and sell on” strategy to a whole new level.
Instead of having to find and risk wasting money on the initial fees to get these players in, we’ll just let other clubs buy them and loan them in off them instead. Doesn’t matter that we’ll have no chance of signing them if they do well and that we’re strengthening other clubs in our league by either giving them back a better player or asset to sell, as long as we stay in the division every year and have a PR drive just as season tickets go out.
The best bit is we get to recycle these 5 loan spots every window.
