Not sure but the other issue with it, and this is where my knowledge isn’t perfect so please correct me if I’m wrong, if we’ve already received the future transfer fees from that transfer fee loan/agreement thing we signed up to where we get the money now and pay it off with the future transfer fee payments and we’ve already spent/earmarked that money for something else, then it’s not as simple as just saying “keep 400k of it” to Franchise as we then have to plug that gap in the repayment of the fee’s from somewhere else.

Explained that very poorly, I.e

If MK owe us 1 Mill spread over 3 payments and we’ve received 1 mill up front from the transfer fee up front agreement and plan to pay it back with each of the 3 payments. If we say to MK to just keep 400k of it then we need to plug that 400k gap in repayments from somewhere else I assume?

It’s basically factoring your income. Banks offer this facility for business’s who are short of cash flow. It comes at a price. If MK owe us x over y time. We get it we get it sooner z less a % of x.

Does anyone know the actual truth in the 'mk owe us for twine' rumours. I know Rich/ls pod dug and didn't think they did, I respect that.

in any case remember we took a loan against future transfer fees. I thought this was McKirdy money but could be twine. so both would therefore be true in a way

I thought they took this loan out in advance of transfer fees this season?

There is no money owed to the club from Hibs or MK as the club sold off this debt to a financial management company last season because they needed the money. Obviously as a result only got a percentage of what was owed.

Obviously we all love him but £400k for six months of Kemp would be ridiculous

That all depends on what we sell him on for doesn’t it…

(and longer term where any profit on said flip of Kemp goes)

that's what I thought, though it wasn't clear what money was accounted for by the loan.

so we (likely) simply don't have that cash to spend now.

Nah I’m wrong it’s the 1st but was told today that Kemp and Young should be playing as I guess the match falls on that first day.

Nobody available to do paperwork at the EFL on New Year’s Day I’d imagine.
