It was noticeable on Tuesday that when Charlie went off it was Wakeling that was trying to compete in the air for any long clearances out of defence (and not winning many of them).
Think it shows that we need someone who can do that job (assume that Jake Young isn’t the one to do that). That’s clearly not Walcott so if he’s one of the targets I still think we need the number 9 as an option
