I think defence still urgently requires work, and work before Saturday.

Then I suspect we're going to have to work with Premier league teams for the remaining loan slots to fill up the squad. I've noticed a few Prem loans have started to drift down the leagues so hopefully we can get involved sooner rather than later.
Absolutely, LWB urgent, 1/2 CB's urgent, then maybe a different option bigger striker to change it if its not working in games.

Worth saying that Walsalls season was going well last season until Jan and their best player was recalled on loan. Then it went to shit.

Hopefully lessons have been learned.

He hasn't, I just think we could do with a different option. he did buy Jamille Matt for both Newport and Walsall though previously, he is THE "go to" L2 target man.

Seems he started well at Bradford, but had a falling out with Hughes. His loan spell at Barrow does not make for great reading, but definitely looks an adequate back up to Austin. He did okay as a bit part player for FGR in their title winning season.

Jake Wakeling also had a poor loan spell at Barrow FWIW.

Was speaking to a fellow TEFer about this exact thing, also Hutton wasnt very well rated at Barrow too yet hes done OK with us. The Barra fans though Wakeling was slow and weak, at least they have said that Young is fast and weak Smiley

Very true and if Barrow’s performance at our place last season is anything to go off, they hardly created too much for him.

He only started 7 games for them but came off the bench in 12 games for a total of just 538 mins football (19 games) at Barrow, scoring no goals and with no assists.

Wakeling by comparison at Barrow had just 2 starts and 2 appearances off the bench for a total of just 173 mins, scoring no goals and no assists.

4th choice striker - could work well or could not be much good. At least it gives us options off the bench.

Centre backs and LWB/LB still the priority.

Yeah I'm not overly keen on these 'clever' videos but I assume the kids love that kind of thing. Seems to be on trend at the moment.

Judging by the ages of mongs responding loving Burnleys teletubby videos, it isn't kids that love them.

I think Swindon fans are almost universally royally fucked off with announcement delays right now. Just get a fucking scarf and a shirt on them and announce the fucker.
