I am not sure sport is his thing, doesn't appear the body is designed for it.

Especially as it’s always muscle/ligament pulls & strains.

I remember Bryan Robson breaking his leg twice as a young player, and people being concerned whether that would end his career, but even then a straightforward break was not as bad as soft tissue injuries.

They can only afford to use the drone once this week so need yo wait till all deals done and announce them all at once.

Or all the photos that were taken with a scarf have all 3 in them so they have to wait until they are all completed

They’re rushing around ordering big red shoes, squirty flowers and collapsible cars.

Who is hosting the evening?

I would think flynn wants these signings done and announced so he can present good news.

I dare say the people that attend are likely to be the more happy chappy ones anyway, but can see some frustrations given gaps in squad.

Wakeling's fine in my book.. Damn good young player who was used poorly. Not his fault

Wakeling is a striker. it's that simple.

Not a winger. Not a wide forward. Not a wingback.

He doesn't possess enough technical ability to play in tight spaces. His touch is questionable and that's being kind.

He needs to be on the shoulder of the last defender. Up top with somebody else he's a real threat. Defenders at this level are frightened of his pace. Think Bradford away last season.

I was really excited after Mansfield about the partnership he could have with Jephcott. Then we never really tried it again. Thanks Lindsay.

Surely even the happiest of happy clappers will be unhappy if this is the squad 3 days before the first match.

Although I'm sure there are some that will 'wait and see' how we got on in National League before making any rash judgements.

I reckon Wakeling would be more suited to a 442 formation.

I don't think anyone (well I wasn't at least) is suggesting Wakeling should be played as a LWB permanently, and he was literally only suggested as a 'viable' option there for Saturday only given the current options in our very thin squad. (Signings this week will hopefully make that 'option' redundant.)

I think he'll be used as an option off the bench this season as it'll be RHM and Charlie up front almost certainly.

Just as long as he's a striker in a front two, for me. Probably fits better with Austin than Hepburn-Murphy though, which highlights the need for another striker.

Its essential we get the defensive players in by Saturday. Ward can come in whenever as long as we don't get an injury. We need another striker before the window closes as well. The defenders we needed two weeks ago though really, now they're going to be thrown in (hopefully)
