The start of his demise at Dundee. He’s number 12.

I honestly think there are better options. Experience doesn’t mean old.
UGM has more than plenty and could make us some money in the future.
I agree that we need a big lump at the back for certain games in the league but not every game.

Also found this when UGM and williams came to after iandolo sending off.
Not at fault for any of the goals. Seems he’s a bit of a character.

I don’t think Kemp fits the type of player their current manager wants. So, it’s unlikely they will want him back for anything other than spite.
Or more likely so they (the frachise scum) can sell him.

I will not miss Williams falling over and losing possession like he did there time and time again

Neither will I.
Such a talent but he went to ground far to easily as if it seemed the easier option.
As for UGM was he the one during the melee that feigned to throw the ball in Williams face? I remember that night and called him a bit of a cunt for it.

He’s amongst a whole host of injured players at Gillingham.

Williams was a luxury player when really we needed him to step up and by the all action midfielder Jack Payne was.

Payne was useful all over the pitch. Williams is only really useful in the final 3rd.

In hindsight- it’s clear to see why he was only ever a rotational player under Garner.

I was looking at this last night and weirdly the players that left us have gone on to do not much due to injury or poor form. Players we all wanted to keep mostly and others not so much but even yesterday

Payne and Egbo on the bench not getting games or Ijured
Conroy Gladwin Ellis none involved yesterday again
Williams injured
McKirdy not scored a goal since leaving and now not well

Sure there are more. Oh Reed is fit now it seems

Garner did a really good job of managing players with regards to game time and getting them on the pitch.

Shame he didn’t have the nous to close out games. We’d have been well away.

I agree in part to what you said, but surely he and Gladwin were rotated for fitness reasons

So we assumed. Probably was in part but having watched Williams last season play most weeks his impact on games overall was ok in the final third and pretty non existent any further back.
