The problem is there are no guarantees of promotion even with an open cheque book and for me the Garner season was exciting, definitely not expected, played the best team in England live on TV and came within a cats whisker of a play off final at Wembley. Compare that to last season and I would say that was a successful season even if we didn't get promoted.

I think it was tbh but under the wrong manager. A better equipped manager takes us up. As an aside it's mad really how bad the atmosphere was that season as well at home wasn't it.

I hope Flynn understands how important it is to get a good start at home this year as not sure the fans will deal with it anymore

It was successful vs a one off expectation.  It was a failure for us, or it should be seen as a failure unless we've determined that we have reset our club to a lower level.  Now, don't confuse that with thoughts of being too big for this league - we are here on merit.

Garner season was fantastic compared with expectation.

Mine was to stay in the League.

Last season i expected us to be in the promo mix....i never felt that we would and told that to some surprised Cobblers fans after our win up there.

At the moment my expectation is quite low. Last season knocked the buzz out of me.
I am pleased we have an experienced Manager and off the bat he has to be given a chance...so far a bit MEH...but results speak volumes...i am hoping for a good start. Please...

Since Kemp has come in that's now 4 more players gone.

For me it's fascinating to see Flynn and Hatswell work out this squad. They're getting rid of the right players so far. Now we wait.................again.

It’s almost like they know what they’re doing.

The only person who seemed to rate Adeloye, after watching him for a few games, was the man himself, which is fair enough I guess.  A footballer he is not - aside from the small detail that he has a contract to prove me wrong.

Surely not?
Who knows they might get rid of 5 more and not sign anyone else. We just don't know Smiley
