Difference is, if he isn't convinced you can't legally, even if you know it happened.
See Mason Greenwood who is still a Man United player, even if they might rather have rid of him. We all know he did it, but they can't legally just rip up his contract when he wasn't convicted of anything.

…yeah…it wasn’t murder but seems a bit morally wrong to me. If it’s something bad enough that you want them out the club asap then it must be bad enough to be a police matter rather than being brushed under a move to Scotland.
