Compared with 12 months ago where there was Baudry, McDonald, Conroy, Boro's GK (loan) all signed up. We are currently sadly lacking on experience and quality. MacDonald signed on the 18th July. So still 36 hours until you can get really angsty!

I cant understand the difficulties with STFC.
Have a 9k home attendance base... Sponsorship deals far more than in previous years.
Still can't show any feel good PR.
Clem Morfuni was singing and dancing with all the bells and whistles when he wanted to sell his story.
Since he has got what he wants (purchased the club and 50% of the ground) he seems to have been very quiet.
Horrible thing is.... he has basically got control over the CG as well. If his football club default on any rent / lease payments how are the Supporters club going to fund the on going payments.
50% JV's are great whilst all parties are on the same page. However things change and normally it ends with disappointment and tears.
Just hope the lawyers have got some excellent clauses that will eliminate my concerns moving forward.
Attendances mean fuck all. I still don’t get why people get so hung up on our attendances and think we should doing well / be rich because of them.

DMC... my posting was incorrectly place here and should have been relating to the purchase of the County ground.
That said, it does seem to be ironic that we are unable to have any "feel good" news.
As for Michael Flynn towing the party line. Surely he needs to get success in the transfer market.
Compared with 12 months ago where there was Baudry, McDonald, Conroy, Boro's GK (loan) all signed up. We are currently sadly lacking on experience and quality.
Yes, I am aware Baudry's seasons ending injury and an unfortunate off the field reason for McDonald leaving.
He needs to get success on the pitch. I don’t care if he signs, on paper, 5 or 6 of the shittiest players going if they regularly get 3 points we’ll all be happy.

Nemo... Out of interest when did the season start last year About a week earlier, so really we have one more week until the first game than we did last year - Colchester is on the 5th August. To plagiarise myself, 2022 summer looked like this: September 1st: Morgan Roberts, Luke Jephcott, Conor Brann, RHM, Marcel Lavinier August 10th: FBT July 30th: Harrogate 3-0 Swindon (First game) July 18th: Angus MacDonald July 15th: Tomi Adeloye, Remeao Hutton, Saidou Khan July 13th: Ronan Darcy July 12th: Tom Clayton July 5th: Jacob Wakeling July 1st: Ciaran Brennan June 28th: Cian Harries June 24th: Reece Devine June 23rd: Tyrese Shade, Sol Brynn June 22nd: Oscar Massey June 20th: Scott Lindsey appointed manager

That very well will be our main source of revenue, but doesn't mean it is the case for the rest of the league. DIV is absolutely spot on with attendances in isolation have very little bearing on budgets given this current era of large spending owners. FGR being one of the main examples. Barely make £1mn in matchday revenue a season, but have an owner who sponsors the club to the tune of £2mn-£3mn a season.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the main sources of income. If your expenditure is more than your income - you aren’t making money. We are operating at loss. Even with our gates. So they’ll have no relevance to what we have to spend.

When I looked at a group of clubs last time, we were handily placed in terms of Revenue.
Some clubs only publish the type of accounts that Power did when he was here. Taking a look at Salfords, they appear (because you can get full accounts from Project 92 Ltd, but a year behind on filing) to run at a 3m-4m loss per year. Total spend being about 8m, think that is a million more than us in total outgoings.
