Labadie as a squad player for some experience isn’t a bad option. Labadie coming in as a starter would probably raise a few questions however I’m also crying out for some experienced signings so I’d be a hypocrite to be too disappointed.

I’d imagine most fans, like me, equate experience as a player having played at a higher level dropping down.

Him and Khan could be a disaster.

I’d love an exciting rumour. Don’t care if it has any basis in reality.

But between BOO and Labadie I’m practically calling the Samaritans.

This. Can we get Harries back?

From a Walsall fan

‘ Hearing rumours Joss Liability is joining Swindon.Good luck with that the blokes a complete idiot.’

Sounds promising if we want to top the red card League!

He really is shite and a disaster waiting to happen.
Ffs if this is the quality we bring in might as well bin the season.

Demetriou is probably more the minimum standard of experienced I’d be looking for.

Experienced in this division and still able to hack a large number of games.

If I was to pick myself though, the links to players like Jason Kerr and Sean Clare types that we’ve had in here would be amazing.

I don’t know enough about Ladabie tbh but I tend to ignore opposition fans. They absolutely loved Shade and most of our fans would walk him back.

Not sure I’ve read it right but hasn’t he only been sent off 3 times in his career.

I seem to remember a Labadie/Menayese disasterclass when we tonked them 5-0

Labadie is the opposite of an aspirational signing if that happens. We want proven competence, so we can surround that with a bit of magic. Don’t sign proven mediocrity. It’s a bit more Christopher Missilou than Jonathan Douglas, isn’t it. Not ringing the alarm bells yet, but I would like some encouragement from the club that we have an actual plan to go up.

The Labadie rumour Walsall end seems to have been taken from 'some Swindon fan on Facebook' according to their forum so doesn't have the most reliable legs. Not worth worrying too much about it unless it becomes official.

As cheap back up on a one year deal to come on late in matches and ‘disrupt’ when protecting leads etc I wouldn’t be too against it. How many times last season did we bemoan a lack of nous etc when throwing away points.

If he’s a regular starter then that will speak volumes re. budget…a very limited footballer.

Fair point. He’d be an upgrade on a Ryan East, and a tool to have in the
box. But we must aim higher for the starting XI.
