Tomlinson signing could be a game changer, assuming he is as good as last seasons cameo.
Him at left back and Lavinier at right back. Push Hutton further forward and Wakeling/RHM rotate as options on the left. Austin up top and Williams in behind in the 10. Changes our team dynamic significantly I think. Still a bit light up top on the wings in support, but I can handle Shade being a sub most games.

I can see it, but I really think right back would suit him. He has that forward drive but a bit more defensive know how than Hutton. I suppose someone has to do the Khan role for a couple of games though. |

Certainly not a 'we want promotion' window If that's it.
Still have hope, but damn this has been sad so far.
Charlie Austin is a ‘we want promotion’ signing in a position we desperately needed a difference maker. Just missing a replacement for MacDonald or a left back if we plan to push FBT inside to CB. Anything after that is just depth. Are we still able to sign free players after the window if their contracts are terminated in the window? |
