MacDonald to Aberdeen confirmed by official Twitter. They need a centre half after the week they've had!

No mention of a fee at all. I presume there is one!

https://www.afc.co.uk/2023/01/31/experienced-defender-joins-the-dons/

Aberdeen article says short term deal. So he's torn up and 18 month contract with us to join on a short-term basis. It really does read like we've paid him off in the Aberdeen article.

Something really weird has happened there. To not even ask for a fee for our captain? Imagine we'll never really know.

I'm led to believe we did release him in order for Aberdeen to sign him.

Shame, good solid defender, not a ball player though.

Which means we'd have had to have paid him something to mutually terminate. Unless he did something that warranted gross misconduct.

I think Minturn may be a regular match day player

Bit of a mystery really. I did read something about skipping training, maybe that was mutually agreed or something to allow him to move? Either way, he's part of STFC history now. Plenty of new players to look forward to now and later this evening I reckon.

He was dropped saturday due to disciplinary issues

The above I stated could all still have happened. Disciplinary could be relating to a separate individual element/factor/event.

Ellis Iandolo is looking increasingly likely to stay at Swindon. Not over yet there are opportunities but I'm told attentions are turning elsewhere.
